Saving Isaac

This website shares a journey that began long before a book was ever written.

Hearing the Voices of Children Exposed to Drugs and Trauma

A vague promise turned into a journey unlike anything Dawn Hennessey and her family could have imagined. Isaac Xavier was so small when they brought him home from the hospital in 2013 that he fit into the palm of Rick’s hand.

"His story is one of love, resilience, triumph, and joy."

About The Books

Together, these books reflect the heart of our mission-to protect life, support healing, and walk alongside children and families through trauma with compassion, faith, and practical support.

Miracle or inspiration;

to most, Isaac is both, which is why Dawn advocates not just for him but for all NAS children and those exposed to trauma.

Moments of Hope

Through our nonprofit ministry, Faith Forward and Angel Arms, God opened a door we never expected. While serving individuals and families affected by addiction and crisis, we were led-unexpectedly and without a plan-to meet a young woman struggling with substance use. Before her child was born, we were asked to step in and care for a baby who would be born exposed to drugs.
